A major collection of Skinner's compositions, some previously unrecorded, played by the fiddler Alastair Hardie, author of The Caledonian Companion, with accompaniments by piano and cello. The album includes such favourite solos as 'The Bonnie Lass o' Bon Accord' and 'The Cradle Song' but also embraces many of Skinner's lesser-known compositions such as 'Le Messe', 'The President' and 'Millhills'.
