The Hardie Press was established in 1984 to promote the cause of Scottish music of various styles in print. Major interests to date include traditional fiddle music, vocal music and baroque music.

We welcome enquiries from individuals, libraries, schools, music groups as well as retail and wholesale  book suppliers, printed and recorded music sellers. We now supply to many overseas markets where the interest in Scottish and "Celtic" music is growing fast.

The business was founded by Alastair and William (Bill) Hardie, two of the main contributors to the recent Scots fiddle revival and members of the distinguished Hardie family from the north east of Scotland, whose forebears include accomplished violin makers and traditional fiddlers.
